My Story
I was born in Brooklyn, New York City in 1955 to parents of Puerto Rican descent. I embraced the culture taught to me by my parents and close relatives. I attended P.S. 169, Dewey Junior H.S., Brooklyn College, and Hunter School of Social Work with a master's degree in Social Work. I married in 1980 to Milton Dorta and we have been together for forty-three years. (He must be doing something right.) We have two spectacular sons and three extraordinary grandchildren. I presently reside in Orlando Florida and retired from Orange County Public Schools.
I love traveling, movies, and creating with my Cricut machine personal gifts. My biggest passion is writing. I recently published my first book, "Two Is Better Than One," which is now available on Amazon.
